Library – The mission of an Institution reflects the intellectual standard, vision of the administrative body and the standard of an institution. The Prin. K.M.Kundnani Library during last 34 years has evolved from an Information repository to a dynamic “Drug and Pharmaceuticals Knowledge Centre” catering to the needs of its user.

Mission

- Provide Specific, exhaustive and expeditions information to the users.
- Initiate, enhance and improve the library service.
- To support the instructional information research and curriculum needs to the staff through effective and up to date collection development.
- To save the time of the user by making easy reference service.

Collection:

The Library has acquired a valuable collection of more than 11,000 books valued at 5,887, 759.

The Library has a good collection of Journals i.e. current as well as back volumes. The current journal subscription is about 50 including foreign and Indian Journals. The bound volume collection is 6973 valuing 7463682.

The book bank facility benefits about 36 undergraduate students every year.

The amount received from various funding agency has been judiciously used fro the library collection development and removal of obsolesce.

Facility and service:
The library can accommodate 75 users at a time. Separate sections are provided for Undergraduate and Post Graduate students.

Home issue:
Undergraduate students get one book for home issue for a period of One (1) week. The Post-Graduate students get Two (2) books as home issue for One (1) week period and staff will get Three (3) books.

Internet Facility:
The computerized information networking system has been a powerful tool for experimental and clinical research. Library has a server and 5 nodes available in LAN. Three (3) PC’s are exclusively fro Internet and CDROM reference.

Printouts will be available for students. One (1) node is exclusively for OPAC search is available where the user can search for the library holdings.

A good collection of audiovisual aids, specialized CD’s like International Pharmaceutical Abstract up to 2000 and Medline and Drug Information full text are available for the benefit of students’ staff and industry.

Current Awareness:
To keep abreast with the latest development and progress, current content service is provided and newly arrived titles were displayed on notice board.

Newspaper Clipping:
The latest new in Pharmacy field will be Xeroxed and displayed on the notice board for update.

Reprographic facility:
Two reprographic machine are in library for the users benefit.
